Idea 1:
My first initial idea was to have a completely narrative clip that shows the growing distance between two individuals in a relationship. My idea was to shoot it as a split screen and show these two people doing the same things that normally people in the house would do together, but show them doing it separately. At the end of the video I wanted to have them both facing the camera and then have the split screen disappear and show the audience that they were together the whole time but have a line between them which stops them from being happy together.
Idea 2:
My second idea was influenced by the music video for Olly Murs & Demi Lovato's song 'Up' which shows the two individuals stood at different sides of a wall. I wanted to do this for my music video as it shows that the two people in my video are so close (which is supposed to be to show how they are in a relationship and are therefore so close to making it work) yet theres something between them that stops anything happening (the wall would be used to signify that they have a distance between them). I would use close ups and long shots in order to show the intimacy of the song but also show the two people in the same shot in order to highlight the distance between them. I would end this video by showing both individuals either breaking down as a sign of the relationship breaking both of them, or with them having a sigh of relief that it is finally over.
Idea 3:
My third idea would be a mix between the narrative clip and the performance. It would be the same as my first idea in that the narrative would show a relationship breaking down, however I want to add certain parts where each of the people in my music video individual sing straight to the camera in order to add a performance element. I can also use this to highlight that the relationship is breaking down as I plan on using the performance as a way of showing one person trying to talk to the other and the other person not listening or being too busy to.
